These impressive images are ready to use, right out of the box or create your own stunning array of 1000's of exciting new patterns and textures, using the stone images on this CD as filters or special effects.
We've been collecting samples for this collection for the past fifteen years, we maintain one of the largest natural stone collections in the world located at, any one place including most stone shops and trade shows.
We offer 115 high-resolution image in full page true-to-life color of natural stone textures and backgrounds. Q: How does Accents Photo-CD's work?
A: From negatives and chromes, they are then scanned into a $100,000.00+ computer system, then burned onto a CD-ROM. Each scanned image is captured in an 18 MB file, and then compressed into 4.5 MB before being transferred onto CD-ROM. Once transferred, each image is stored at five resolutions:
(128 X 192) For Low- Resolution Monitor Previews, Thumbnails,
Tiling and Web Sites.
(256 X 384) For Comps, Index Images, Tiling and Web Sites.
(512 X 768) For Comps, Viewing at Std TV Resolution and 1/8 Page Print.
(1024 X 1536) For Zooming, H.D.T.V., 1/4 Page Print.
(2048 X 3072) Hi-Res. Outputs. Maximum enlargements of up to an 8 X 10, Full Pg. at 800% With 150 LPI.
This allows you to choose a lower resolution when download time or file size is an issue, or a higher resolution when you need a large image without sacrificing any loss of clarity. Accents Images is used today, on virtually every kind of computer system, including PC, Macintosh, UNIX, etc. The Kodak Photo-CD system has emerged as the industry standard in digital imaging, and is now supported by all major software packages, including Adobe (TM), Microsoft (TM) and Corel (TM) applications.
